I was planning for a long time to make a series about Hungarian countryside, when I heard the horn of a Family Frost car. I immediately decided to travel across the country in a such car. In 2005 I spent a month on the road, runned 5000 kilometers and reached more than 100 villages in 6 counties, with different vans from the network.

On Villages where there is no touristic attraction, no highways crossing, no floods pooring over, They are neither on the news, nor in guide books; Family Frost vans are indispensable part of those small villages: arrive once a week and besides their goods, bring the news as well. Furthermore, the happiness on people’s face when they see the FF van is understandable and it plays an important role in the local folklore. Songs and jokes are made about it and I have borrowed the title of my work, Tell your mommy, bring some money, from one of those songs.
